Indo-German Tool Room, Aurangabad
conducted short-term courses like CNC programming
and machining, CNC Milling & Drilling Practice,
Master CAM, Auto CAD, Unigraphic, Pro-E for 55 trainees.

Central Tool Room, Ludhiana conducted
short-term courses for 55 trainees, in Conventional
Milling, CNC Turning, Auto CAD, Advance CAD/CAM,
CNC Milling.

Central Institute of Tool Design
(CITD) Hyderabad has designed and manufactured Moulding
Die for a plastic cover of cell phone charging unit.
They have also developed 3 D surfaces for a plastic
component by using reverse engineering technique
for a SSI unit at Hyderabad.

CITD Hyderabad has developed manufacturing
process for cutting helical grooves on a round component,
thus assisting a SSI unit of Hyderabad to execute
an export order from Italy.

CITD Hyderabad conducted a specialized
training programme on ‘Automation and Mechatronics
during the month, in which the scientists from Nuclear
Fuel Complex(NFC), Deptt. of Atomic Energy, Hyderabad
were given the skill Upgradation training.

CITD Hyderabad provided guidelines
to the Engineering College students to develop a
working model of Robotic Arm.

Central Tool Room & Training
Centre, Bhubaneshwar has conducted a tailor made
training programme on CNC programming and computer
hardware maintenance management for Directorate
of Technical Education & Training, Orissa in
which 19 lecturers/Instructors from different Govt.
Polytechnics and ITI’s participated.

Central Tool Room & Training
Centre, Bhubaneshwar has developed and manufactured
2 nos. of Quoting Masks for gold plating of satellite
components for ISRO.

Institute for Design of Electrical
Measuring Instruments (IDEMI), Mumbai organized
3 short-term training programmes for 5 persons and
undertook 62 job works of 56 small-scale industries.

Electronics Service and Training
Centre (ESTC), Ramnagar conducted 8 short-term training
courses for 41 persons and undertook 12 job works
of 12 small-scale units.

During the month, sanctions were
issued to SIDO field institutions in different States
for conducting 100 Entrepreneurship Development
Programmes, 100 Motivational Campaigns and 100 Management
Development Programmes.

Under ISO 9000/14001 Reimbursement
Scheme, an amount of Rs. 5,33,651 has been approved
in 50th Screening Committee Meeting for reimbursement
to 11 SSI units.

Events
SIDO participated in the "XXIIIrd Expocomer International Trade Fair" in Panama City, Panama, from 2nd March to 6th March 2005. 57 participants from small-scale sector participated in the fair by displaying their products.
